Woodland Group are recruiting an Accounts Receivable Assistant for our New York office. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will liaise with the company’s debtors, external offices for the group and associated companies, to assist in the timely collection of the company’s invoices

What you will be doing:

Contacting debtors by phone/email, to confirm that invoices have been received and have been processed for payment

Researching and resolving account discrepancies

Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.

Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers are accurate

Monitoring the bank accounts and posting ACH/Wire/Credit Card receipts

Processing and recording payments on the account system (Safe Financials)

Generating reports and statements

About you:

The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following areas:

Minimum 2 years basic accounting experience; OR

Associates Degree preferred

Minimum 1 year experience working in office environment preferred

Excellent mathematical skills

IT Literate

Good telephone manner

Ability to operate computer databases and spreadsheets with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
