US braces for Hurricane Helene to make landfall

Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall within the next 24 hours and will impact large parts of Southeast USA.

Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall within the next 24 hours.

Large parts of Southeast USA will be impacted, with Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina having declared a state of emergency in preparation for its arrival.

Tampa International Airport has announced it will suspend operations on Thursday with port and terminal operations expected to be impacted across the Southeast. Woodland Atlanta, GA, office operations and communications may be disrupted.
