A powerful shipping container explosion has rocked container ship docked at Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province and impacted port operations at the world's busiest port.

A container explosion at Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province, East China, has resulted in damage and concern.

The blast, which took place at one of the world's busiest ports, sent a towering plume of smoke and flames into the sky, alarming nearby residents and workers. Early reports suggest that the explosion was caused by a fire that broke out in a storage area containing chemicals and flammable materials, though the exact cause is still under investigation.

No casualties have been reported. Emergency response teams have been mobilized and fire tugboats deployed to control the situation and prevent further damage.

The explosion has caused significant disruption to port operations, which is expected to affect global supply chains. Terminal 3 is closed until further notice and nearby facilities have been evacuated as fire emergency teams are working tirelessly to contain the blaze.
