Due to Storm Éowyn due to land in Ireland and the UK, a red alert has been issued across Ireland. The Woodland Ireland office will be closed with all staff working remotely on Friday, 24th January.
Winds have been noted to reach up to 100mph, forcing ports to close with delays to be expected for collections and deliveries in addition to a significant impact on local transportation.
Areas such as Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford are expected to be most affected.
Red Weather Warnings have also been issued for parts of Scotland, while parts of Northern England and Wales are facing Amber and Yellow Warnings for wind, rain and snow.
Residents in the affected areas are being advised to stay indoors where possible, secure outdoor objects, and to avoid unnecessary journeys.
We will be closely monitoring the situation and keep you informed as we receive updates. If you have any questions, please reach out to us here.
